Islam on list of ‘brand disasters’ of 2000s
IN THE BLOGOSPHERE: A recent blog post took on what the writer perceived to be the five worst brand flops in the last decade. Islam came in No. 3 on the list. No doubt, Islam as a brand in the Western world has suffered tremendously. As the author points out, Islam has “a long history of art, literature and general enlightenment,” but has become associated with some horrible things. As Muslims, we are the brand representatives for Islam and with so much bad press, we need to work extra hard to polish it.
